Sequeiros has found the magic formula
It is easy to look at a 3-1 win and think it was a stroll. It wasn't. Aigburth had their moments, the kind of moments that usually end with us staring at a leaking roof and wondering why we bother. But Sequeiros had the lads sorted.
The shape was proper. There was no frantic running for the sake of it, just honest work and a few clever bits of movement that left the opposition looking a bit lost. To go away from home and put three past a side like that takes a bit of steel. He has managed to get them playing with a level of composure we haven't seen in years (even if the midfield still looks like they are fighting a war in a phone box).
He didn't overthink it. No fancy tactics or corporate nonsense. Just a straightforward plan that worked. It is the kind of performance that makes you think we might actually be onto something, before you remember we are Wigston and it will probably rain on the next one. Still, the man has a knack for it. He’s got them believing. That is a rare thing in this league.
