Mancunia will take the points and the memory of a goal that did not require eleven men to produce. Beeston will take the evidence that a 51-point season can still leave a side empty-handed on an afternoon when the opposition loses a player in the third minute. Both clubs return on Monday for matchday 37, a schedule that does not believe in letting the wound heal before the next shift.
