We looked reasonably coherent, for once, and managed to keep the ball in the right areas of the pitch without immediately giving it back. Damien Compère-Morel has now reached five goals for the season, a statistic we shall cling to with desperate intensity until the next setback occurs. It is a pleasant afternoon. We will try not to let it go to our heads.
