"A point is a point, I suppose.
It wasn't a spectacle. We spent a great deal of time passing the ball from one side of the pitch to the other, which is a very efficient way of ensuring nothing actually happens. There was a moment where the keeper looked quite bored, and that is usually a sign of a well-organised defence, or perhaps just a very dull afternoon. We had a few ideas, but we didn't quite execute them. It is the nature of the game. We lacked that bit of malice in the final third: we were far too polite. Aigburth were happy enough to share the spoils, and we are just happy to have finished the match without any one of us having to actually sprint. There is very little time to reset now. We look toward tomorrow and try to find a way to actually put the ball in the net."
