Solomon Trent is a proper luxury

Kirkby FC put five past Aigburth FC, and Solomon Trent was the one pulling the strings. He played with the sort of calm that makes a defender look like they are chasing a ghost. It wasn't just about the technical stuff, though that was plenty. He had a way of knowing where the ball would land before the man marking him had even blinked.
He spent most of the match gliding across the grass. Aigburth FC tried to get stuck in, but Trent just stepped around them with a shrug. He managed to make the difficult look tedious. The way he shifted the ball from left to right of the pitch was a bit of a masterclass, really. He looks like he has found a cheat code for the game.
Some will say he is one for the future. That is a bit of a lie. He is the present. He operated with a level of composure that usually requires a very expensive therapist and a decade of experience. Kirkby had the goals, but Trent provided the grace. He will have very little time to reset before tomorrow, but if he keeps this up, the opposition will just stop trying.
