Fabiani-Petacci a passenger in the defeat

Aigburth FC have a habit of making things difficult for themselves. Losing 0-2 at home to Brixton AFC is just typical, really. While some of the lads put in a proper shift, Ippolito Fabiani-Petacci looked like he was attending a garden party.
He spent the afternoon drifting. It was less of a performance and more of a stroll through the park (which is where he seemed most comfortable). He had a few touches of the ball, mostly sideways, and looked generally bewildered by the pace of the game. There is a certain kind of confidence required to be that invisible in a losing effort. It is almost an art.
He is often touted as one for the future. If that future involves him standing in the centre circle watching the game happen around him, then he is well ahead of schedule. He didn't lose the dressing room, mostly because he never seemed to fully enter the contest in the first place.
There is little time to reset. Brixton took the points, and Fabiani-Petacci took the scenic route to the final whistle. He will need to find a gear that isn't neutral before the next matchday.
